5/5 starsAmazing ending, amazing story, I would have liked a more solid and definite relationship ending for some characters, but being open to interpretation is also incredible。 Will definitely be recommending this one out。

Sentimientos reencontrado, un reflejo en el paso de la vida, irremediable para todos, lectura humana y sincera, prepara pañuelos para los lloros。。。 Emocionante y directa al corazón。 La amistad, el pegamento de salvación y el arma de destrucción。

I enjoyed this manga story。 It is the continued from Vol。1 and 2。 Where Tsugu and Sora find out that they have been stay with Tsugu grandpa so far。 Also Tsugu finally deals with the lost of her father leaving their family。 Yuushin has also came to Tokyo to take the professional boxer test。 And Asari is now dealing with problems at school。 And also Sora is still dealing with his problems too。I still enjoyed the illustrations。 All the friends are still having their problems and trying to work thro I enjoyed this manga story。 It is the continued from Vol。1 and 2。 Where Tsugu and Sora find out that they have been stay with Tsugu grandpa so far。 Also Tsugu finally deals with the lost of her father leaving their family。 Yuushin has also came to Tokyo to take the professional boxer test。 And Asari is now dealing with problems at school。 And also Sora is still dealing with his problems too。I still enjoyed the illustrations。 All the friends are still having their problems and trying to work through them。 This is the last book in the series。 The end was good。I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley。 This is my honest unbiased opinion。 。。。more

I'll write the review on the last volume since I binge read it in like a day or two。I stumbled upon this randomly, while looking for more "underground" manga let's say, or at least the ones that don't have an anime adaptation (yet)。I loved this story a lot and I somehow related to all of the characters, whether through my own experiences or my friends'。 The plot is relatively simple: a girl returns to her hometown and discovers that everything and everyone changed。 Pretty basic。 But what makes t I'll write the review on the last volume since I binge read it in like a day or two。I stumbled upon this randomly, while looking for more "underground" manga let's say, or at least the ones that don't have an anime adaptation (yet)。I loved this story a lot and I somehow related to all of the characters, whether through my own experiences or my friends'。 The plot is relatively simple: a girl returns to her hometown and discovers that everything and everyone changed。 Pretty basic。 But what makes this story so unique is the approach。 I appreciate the author for not forcing the characters to be different and be dramatic just for the sake of it。 Each character from the main friend group had its own demons and struggles to deal with and, in my opinion, they were dealt with pretty well。Tsugu's character really was a moving force, she was the one that triggered most of the action and, surprisingly, she wasn't the annoying happy-go-lucky-friend trope。 Yes, she was sometimes too hyper, but when her peers brought her down to earth, she didn't complain and tried to understand their point。The story is not one that I would call light-hearted and happy, but the conclusion is。 It has a cathartic ending, each character reaching to a satisfying conclusion in the end, and the symbolism of the golden sheep ties well with the plot, even if at first is not that clear。I really recommend reading this, it's super short and sweet, and the short story (unrelated to the manga) at the end of volume three will rip your soul out。 。。。more

I loved this manga itself but the bonus story at the end really got me。

TLDR: It is a good ending, but there are some things not addressed that I really wish were。Longer Review: So I will put a mild spoiler warning here。 This spoiler is only if you have not read the previous two volumes。 If you have, this will spoil nothing from the third volume。 (view spoiler)[ They never really address that Yuushin scene with Asari。 (hide spoiler)]Here is the thing, that one issue is a little bit of a big issue。 Like the story starts to be very confusing without that answer。 It c TLDR: It is a good ending, but there are some things not addressed that I really wish were。Longer Review: So I will put a mild spoiler warning here。 This spoiler is only if you have not read the previous two volumes。 If you have, this will spoil nothing from the third volume。 (view spoiler)[ They never really address that Yuushin scene with Asari。 (hide spoiler)]Here is the thing, that one issue is a little bit of a big issue。 Like the story starts to be very confusing without that answer。 It changes the dynamic of the four friends in my opinion and yet it is never really addressed。That said, I still like it。 Even though I know the story doesn't make sense with some of the issues and some parts seem unrealistic, even with all of this I still enjoyed it。 I do debate hoe readily I would recommend this series, but I think I still would。 As a volume, it is a decent volume too。 I really like the development between Yuushin and Sora, and I also like the developments for Tsugu。 Spoiler Review: (view spoiler)[ Here is the thing, I can overlook Yuushin's stuff with Sora。 Yeah they were bullied, but if I was Sora and I felt guilty about how I treated Yuushiin in the past, then I think that guilt would move me to forgive him。 The thing is I really don't see how Asari fits in here。 I don't see how Tsugu could forgive her and move on so easily。 I mean, I understand that it is Tsugu and she works different from the others, but still it waas a bit tough。 Then that weird scene between Asari and Yuushin is never addressed and that seems a bit weird。 Like I feel that if that happened in the friend group, then I would leave that group。I really like the way Sora and Yuushin develop their relationship this volume though。 Yuushin gets a rough redemption, but I don't know how authentic it is。 The manga is somewhat weird because I really did enjoy it, but I just don't know how "good" I would actually say it is。 (hide spoiler)] 。。。more

The ending was wrapped up a bit too quickly and neat for my preference but I’ll tolerate it because this rocked my world idk what else to say it just a cinematic experience。

Trigger Warnings for the Series: Attempted suicide, bullying, sexual assault。 Like I said in my review for volume 1, this series had a lot of promise。 The ending is not bad, but it could have been so much more。 Summary The Golden Sheep follows these 4 young teenagers who were childhood friends and get reunited after some time。 Our main female MC is Tsugu who has moved back from Osaka。 When she returns, Tsugu believes the four will continue to be best friends as they were in the past。 Howeve Trigger Warnings for the Series: Attempted suicide, bullying, sexual assault。 Like I said in my review for volume 1, this series had a lot of promise。 The ending is not bad, but it could have been so much more。 Summary The Golden Sheep follows these 4 young teenagers who were childhood friends and get reunited after some time。 Our main female MC is Tsugu who has moved back from Osaka。 When she returns, Tsugu believes the four will continue to be best friends as they were in the past。 However, the bonds they once shared may not have held up for this long。。。 Plot I said this in my first review, the downside to this series is that the ending is rushed and the conflicts are underdeveloped or just dropped。 This is a shame since I think the series could have explored the issues more closely and really developed the characters and their relationships。 I am still glad I picked up the series because I had a fun time reading it and being invested in these characters。 However, it just sucks because I really wanted more out of the story。 Overall, I gave this specific volume 3 stars。 。。。more

While I did enjoy the story I still had the same issue as last time in that the bullying wasn't taken seriously enough for me。 (view spoiler)[Sora has gotten beaten up on a constant basis and Tsugu is caught up in wanting them to be like they used to and doesn't focus on it at all。 (hide spoiler)] The thing is Yuushin obviously feels shame and hatred towards himself, but taking it out on other people is not okay。 And we see him learn throughout, but for me the situation wasn't resolved enough fo While I did enjoy the story I still had the same issue as last time in that the bullying wasn't taken seriously enough for me。 (view spoiler)[Sora has gotten beaten up on a constant basis and Tsugu is caught up in wanting them to be like they used to and doesn't focus on it at all。 (hide spoiler)] The thing is Yuushin obviously feels shame and hatred towards himself, but taking it out on other people is not okay。 And we see him learn throughout, but for me the situation wasn't resolved enough for him to be absolved of his wrong doings。 Another review just reminded me of something I forgot about but spoiler for Vol2。 Yuushin never acknowledged what he did to Asari (view spoiler)[sexual assault at kareoke (hide spoiler)] so。。。 yeah still trash, like this book even less now。But I do think its important to have this story because as much as I don't like the choices some characters made, it showcases the different ways bullying can appear and the effects it can have。 It could come from someone you formerly called a friend。 It is done out of internal turmoil and shame and insecurity。 And it's not always a black and white situation which makes it more difficult。At the end of this volume there was a short story that I really don't know how to feel about only that it makes me uncomfortable。 Spoilers for the story: It starts off in this place that resembles heaven and souls are getting to pick where they'd like to be born。 Fun concept。 One picks out this 17yo girl who is 'troubled'。 He ends up enjoying his time as her son, but at a turning point we her struggling and one day she doesn't come home。 And then we see the spirit back in the heaven place, indicating that he passed away。 We see online comments harassing the mom and the spirit saying that they don't want that for her since she gave him a good life。 And then the story continues as the spirit finds new ways of coming back and being in her life as a kitten, a flower and a raindrop。 It's interesting because again it doesn't take the view most people would and demonize the mom。 It instead sympathizes with her, which is the part that makes me uncomfortable。 Because it is undeniable that she went through some rough times and must have been struggling a lot to succumb to that, but it is also the fate of the child is mortifying and preventable。 And not fully exploring the gravity of that situation is not good imo。 。。。more

Honestly this manga was so good and quickly became one of my favorites。 A few things were missing for me though which I will explain here。 Yuushin used to beat up Sora with his friends constantly steal from him, bully him, tell him to kill himself and so much more。 We got some insight about why Yuushin did these things but I think everything happened a bit fast。 It is said that Yuushin acted this way because he felt Sora had given up on him, and this does not excuse any of his behavior。 Sora was Honestly this manga was so good and quickly became one of my favorites。 A few things were missing for me though which I will explain here。 Yuushin used to beat up Sora with his friends constantly steal from him, bully him, tell him to kill himself and so much more。 We got some insight about why Yuushin did these things but I think everything happened a bit fast。 It is said that Yuushin acted this way because he felt Sora had given up on him, and this does not excuse any of his behavior。 Sora was traumatized by the horrible bullying he was dealt to the point where he wanted to kill himself。 And it was wrapped up in the end with a pretty bow that they all became friends again。 That was what bothered me the most。 Most of the characters stories were not given fully, not giving readers a chance to fully connect with the characters。 On another note, the little bits of romances that were given。 Yuushin had sexually assaulted Asari, and I say this because she had told him to stop and he didn't, she was crying hysterically and looked very downtrodden。 Later in the novel, this is not resolved or addressed and she is still blushing around Yuushin。 It was as if this was normal。Second, Tsugu and Sora had a sweet friendship that was possibly leading to more and when he stated he wanted to get stronger before engaging in anything with her, I was intrigued to see his growth。 Seeing the growth and development of all these characters would have been really cool if the series continued。 Which is why I think a lot of things were left unresolved at the end。 I can only hope there will be more in the series to give some closure at least。The short story Love Letters was heartbreaking and a bit confusing tbhAll in all, I enjoyed it。 。。。more

I appreciated how this volume picked up with Asari, I think it would've been more relevant in the previous volume but I was glad to read it regardless of the placement。 I liked how the author wrapped up this story。 I think that we can all relate to various aspects of each of the four main characters and that's what makes this story so good, because it feels so real。 I appreciated how this volume picked up with Asari, I think it would've been more relevant in the previous volume but I was glad to read it regardless of the placement。 I liked how the author wrapped up this story。 I think that we can all relate to various aspects of each of the four main characters and that's what makes this story so good, because it feels so real。 。。。more

I really liked the ending even if the ship i was rooting for didn't get together because this wasn't really a romance story, it focused on friendship and growth。 It was more of a coming of age story and it was really good。 I'd read it again in the future for sure。 I really liked the ending even if the ship i was rooting for didn't get together because this wasn't really a romance story, it focused on friendship and growth。 It was more of a coming of age story and it was really good。 I'd read it again in the future for sure。 。。。more

Really great ending。 I’m glad the main characters reached the conclusion they came to in the end。 As heartfelt as it was, it still left me with the lingering thought of existential dread。 I think too much and if you understand what I’m saying, then you get it。 I don’t want to spoil anything, just try not to overthink the ending so you don’t develop the same thoughts and feelings。。。 😅

The four friends of this series have seemingly made up and are on their way to their future。 Overall the series shows teens warts and all, the confusing time of adolescence。 Would I rec the series? Eh。The bonus story at the end of the book is disturbing。 A tale of death due to child neglect, yet the child's soul still is reincarnated to be near his "Mommy。" Would definitely not rec this portion。 The four friends of this series have seemingly made up and are on their way to their future。 Overall the series shows teens warts and all, the confusing time of adolescence。 Would I rec the series? I was a little baffled at how easily it appears that Asari forgot what Yuushin tried to do to her。 It seemed as if the writer was insinuating he only stopped because her underwear was so kiddish Yuushin couldn’t cross that line。 So I was a little baffled that there was no apology or mention of that。 Very poor handling of a triggering situation。 The author clearly recognized that it was traumatic but chose not to address it in the midst of all these other apologies。 It was brushed under the rug b I was a little baffled at how easily it appears that Asari forgot what Yuushin tried to do to her。 It seemed as if the writer was insinuating he only stopped because her underwear was so kiddish Yuushin couldn’t cross that line。 So I was a little baffled that there was no apology or mention of that。 Very poor handling of a triggering situation。 The author clearly recognized that it was traumatic but chose not to address it in the midst of all these other apologies。 It was brushed under the rug because he scares off some bullies and complimented her haircut。 I would expected more honestly。 I think Sora and Tsugu’s ending wrapped up best。 Though they never really had much tension。 I would not buy this story and I would have trouble recommending it publicly。 I don’t think it’s a good interpretation or handling of the after effects of that kind of attack。 。。。more

The last book in the trilogy makes up for the first two's lack of detail。 This dives deeper into the side characters and ties up loose ends。 Although I feel like it could still be longer, 1/4 of the book is all bonus material。 The last book in the trilogy makes up for the first two's lack of detail。 This dives deeper into the side characters and ties up loose ends。 Although I feel like it could still be longer, 1/4 of the book is all bonus material。 。。。more
